Everett Estate | Modern Luxury Meets Historic Charm
Welcome to Everett Estate, a beautifully restored historic estate nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Originally known as Upland Manor, the property has a rich history connected to Dr. Charles Everett, a prominent physician and personal physician to Presidents Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe. Dr. Everett and Thomas Jefferson were known to visit the property to enjoy its peaceful surroundings, hunting, and fishing.

The estate later became the beloved Mark Addy Inn, a bed and breakfast and restaurant that was a longtime part of the Nelson County community. Today, the property has been thoughtfully restored, blending its historic character with modern comforts and a fresh, sophisticated design.

Set on expansive grounds with sweeping Blue Ridge Mountain views, Everett Estate features 11 uniquely appointed suites and can accommodate up to 30 overnight guests. The estate also offers a beautiful setting for weddings and events of up to 125 guests. Whether you're gathering for a wedding, family reunion, retreat, celebration, or weekend in Virginia wine country, Everett Estate is designed for making memories together. Enjoy morning coffee with mountain views, gather with friends around the fire pits, explore nearby vineyards and hiking trails, or celebrate a special occasion surrounded by Virginia's beautiful countryside. With spacious gathering areas, historic character, and sweeping Blue Ridge Mountain views, Everett Estate offers a memorable setting for relaxing, reconnecting, and celebrating.

First Floor:
The Parlor
A cozy, moody living space with conversational seating, a full bathroom with walk-in shower, and a separate ADA-compliant half bath. The full bath also provides a convenient additional space for wedding and event guests to get ready.

Dining Room & Living Area
Multiple dining tables provide flexible space for meals, cocktails, games, and gatherings. Original 110-inch-high wood pocket doors open to an additional living area with velvet sofas, dining space, and a half bath with changing table.

Sunroom
A bright gathering space with an eight-person dining table, refrigerator, microwave, toaster ovens, dishware, glassware, and coffee and tea setup. When renting the entire estate, guests also have access to the commercial-grade kitchen for meal preparation, catering, or a personal chef.

Weddings & Events
Everett Estate is an ideal setting for weddings, retreats, reunions, celebrations, and private gatherings. The estate and grounds can accommodate up to 125 event guests.
All weddings and events require a signed event contract, and event fees may apply. Events are also paired with our venue coordinator to help with planning and coordination. Event guidelines include:
Maximum of 125 event guests
Overnight accommodations include up to 26 guests; up to 4 additional beds may be added for a fee
No amplified music after 9:00 PM
Speakers must remain in designated areas
No pets during weddings or events
Parking in designated areas only
No glitter, confetti, or fireworks

Please Note: In an effort to create a peaceful and relaxing environment for all of our guests, we welcome well-behaved children ages 12 years and above to join their parent or guardian in our suites. Children of all ages are welcome to stay when you rent the entire Estate. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to the nature of the property, guests are not allowed to bring their pets to stay.
